The Directorate for Conformity Assessment INMETRO (DCONF) has defined the deadlines from when the following products require a Seal of Conformity in order to be produced/imported and commercialized in the Brazilian market.

From 1st June 2013, the European Union (EU) list of authorized food additives takes effect and previous European directives are replaced with a single regulation.

The US state of Nevada recently approved measures to prohibit bisphenol A (BPA) in certain food-contact products for young children. The effective date is dependent on the nature of the product and starts in January 2014.
