SGS Industrial Services

From October 2010, SGS Industrial Services has provided Project Management Services for the design of a nine storey building which includes a parking lot, school and shopping center in the center of Valencia in Spain for Grupo Aza Investment.

From March 21 to 24, 2011, SGS will be attending Gastech 2011 at the Amsterdam RAI in the Netherlands. A wide range of SGS’s services for the oil, gas and petrochemical industry will be presented at stand no. C280.

SGS Industrial Services will be attending two significant nuclear power events in China in May and April 2011. SGS's services will be presented at the 9th China International Exhibition on the Nuclear Power Industry at stand 7H07.

In September 2010 SGS Industrial Services in Colombia was assigned the contract to conduct Underground Survey Services for the expansion project of the Cartagena Refinery.

Aramco Overseas Company (AOC) awarded SGS the contract to provide professional Supply Chain Services. During the three year contract, beginning in January 2011, SGS will assist Aramco Overseas to achieve the “zero defect” goal it has set itself.

SGS has acquired the Chinese construction materials testing company, Tianjin Tianbao Construction Materials testing Co, Ltd., a testing company with extensive experience in the industrial infrastructure and building sectors.

In September 2010, SGS was awarded a contract to provide Construction Supervision for an International Convention Centre in Spain. For a period of twelve months, SGS will provide a wide range of services, including project review etc.

On November 22nd, 2010, SGS has obtained the ISO 9001:2008 Certificate of Conformity in Colombia. SGS has been awarded in recognition of its implementation practices that are in compliance with the international Quality Management System standard.

From March 14th to 17th, 2011, SGS is attending the EWEA Annual Event in Brussels, Belgium. SGS will present its wide range of services for the wind energy industry including Project Execution, Project Certification and In-Service Inspection.

SGS Industrial Services has appointed Peter Piziger as Global Sales Manager for Northern and Eastern Europe. Based in Germany, Peter’s new position will focus on the development of new strategies for cross-selling and up-selling.
