Southeast Ventura County YMCA

The California Strong/SEVC YMCA donation is part of a second distribution phase that focuses on long-term recovery.

The free, seven-session program provides water safety and basic swimming skills to youth and adults ages 5 and older with little or no water experience.

This donation marks the foundation's second major contribution to the YMCA this year.

Camp runs from June 9 to August 7 through the Simi Valley Family YMCA and from June 16 to August 15 through the Yarrow Family YMCA.

The keynote speaker is former Rams All-Pro tackle, Andrew Whitworth.

The breakfast brings the spiritual communities of all faiths together to celebrate fellowship and prayer.

The program brings students together with their peers from across California to discuss international issues, discover other cultures, develop life-enhancing skills and make new friends.

The items needed are dresses, suits, slacks, jackets, shoes, ties, purses and accessories.

Affected families receiving the funding went through an application process on California Strong's website.
