Southeast Ventura County YMCA

The festival features over 20 fall and Halloween-themed decorated car trunks where YMCA childcare staff pass out candy.

Co-founded by Connie and Steve Ballmer, Ballmer Group funds organizations and leaders that help children, especially those born into poor families, with economic mobility.

Proceeds from the evening benefit Southeast Ventura County YMCA programs.

Adventure Guides is for parents and their children (ages 5-11).

Kick-off meetings are scheduled for the Southeast Ventura County YMCA's three Youth & Government Model Legislature & Court delegation programs.

"Safety Around Water" provides water safety and basic swimming skills to children ages 5 to 13 with little or no water experience.

This year, the YMCA will be celebrating its 60th year serving the community.

Session dates are from July 29 to August 31 with lessons held during the late afternoon and early evening.

Donated items will help stock backpacks of young scholars who take part in the Y's "Find My Genius" program.

Scholarship winners are selected based on character traits they display on and off the field: work hard, be true, be humble, be kind.
