Sunrise Aviation, a flight school in Florida, announced today that they will attend the EATS 2010 conference in Istanbul on November 9th and 10th. EATS, the European Airline Training Symposium, will be held at the WOW Airport Hotel in Istanbul.

Teddy Simmons, Jr., a flight student from the Bahamas, who only started flying at Sunrise Aviation this summer, received his Instrument Rating. Teddy received his Private Pilot LIcense less than two months ago. The multi-engine airplane is next.

The sixth annual APATS conference was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from September 14th - 15th. APATS is the Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium. Patrick Murphy from Sunrise Aviation joined nearly 300 other delegates Asia and around the world.

On September 1st, Sunrise Aviation, a flight school in Florida, announced that their first student from Mongolia had completed his FAA Commercial Pilot License. He completed the final portion of his training, a multi-engine rating, in record time.

Korean War Veteran, Gerry Nadeau, celebrated his 78th birthday by taking his first flight lesson at Ormond Beach Municipal Airport, Florida. Mr. Nadeau’s flight instructor was Will Shaw and the flight was conducted by Sunrise Aviation.

In a big turnaround from the past couple of years, almost all the news about pilot hiring in India in 2010 has been positive at least if you are an Indian citizen. This is welcome news for the pilots who have trained over the past several years.
