The Bat Doctor

The First Baptist Church in Girard, IL held their Summer Day Camp in June / July. Their final presenter of the summer on July 8, 2013 was Dr. Todd Austin from Virden, IL. Austin is also known throughout Central IL as THE BAT DOCTOR.

Dr. Todd Austin had the opportunity to teach over 1,000 children (age 2 through 5th grade students) about IL Bats between May 1st and May 16th of 2013! Austin has been an active member of Bat Conservation International (BCI) for over 22 years.

On 11-1-11, Virden's Dr. Todd Austin (aka 'The Bat Doctor') entertained 280 Virden Elementary School students about BATS! Austin, a Doctor of Chiropractic, has been a bat conservationist and a member of Bat Conservation International for 21 yrs.

On 10-25-11, Dr. Todd Austin (aka 'The Bat Doctor') taught over 250 Girard IL Elementary School students about BATS! Austin, a Virden, IL Chiropractor, has been an avid bat conservationist and a member of Bat Conservation International for 21 yrs.

Dr. Todd Austin, also known as "The Bat Doctor" from Virden, IL just put the finishing touches on a busy batty week by attending a WNS Bat Research Symposium in Chicago on 10-15-11. Earlier in the week he spoke to senior citizens and pre-K students.

On 5-3-11, Dr. Austin had the opportunity to teach 215 Sangamon County, IL 4 graders about bats. Austin has been an active bat conservationist for over 20 years. Austin was one of 36 presenters at the 2011 Earth Stewardship Day.

On 11-4-10, Dr. Todd Austin (aka 'The Bat Doctor') taught 265 North Mac (Girard Elementary School) students about BATS! Austin, a Virden, IL Chiropractic Physician, has been an avid bat conservationist for exactly twenty years this month!

On Tuesday October 26, 2010, Dr. Todd Austin had the opportunity to teach over 280 North Mac (Virden Elementary School) students about bats. Austin, a Virden IL Doctor of Chiropractic, has also been an active bat conservationist for twenty years.

Dr. Todd Austin (a.k.a. "The Bat Doctor") was recently featured in the Spring 2010 issue of 'BATS' magazine. Austin has been a bat conservationist since 1990 and has been entertaining audiences about bats throughout the state of Illinois since 1996.

During the last week of October, Dr. Todd Austin, also known as 'The Bat Doctor', had the opportunity to teach 140 Virden grade schoolers about bats. Austin explains that “My mission is to drum up as much good public relations for bats as I can.”
