Add Us In/DiversityWorks Program Invites Job Seekers and Employers to Job Fair on October 24

JCPenney is inviting its customers to round up their purchases in February to the nearest whole dollar and donate the difference to benefit Dress for Success, an organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women.

Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas with the support of AARP Foundation, Citi Community Development and Walmart Foundation expand the Platform to Employment programcreated by The WorkPlace.

The WorkPlace, AARP Foundation, Citi Community Development and Walmart Foundation will expand the Platform to Employment program to 10 cities across U.S.

The WorkPlace is proud to announce the 2012 Earn & Learn Summer Employment Program. The program expects to place approximately 330 Southwestern Connecticut youth into summer jobs and will give priority to individuals from low income households.

The new web site, www.CT-NYcareers.org is a comprehensive resource for job seekers, employers, and industry groups in the health care and green sectors throughout Southwestern Connecticut and Westchester and Putnam counties in New York.

The WorkPlace, Inc. Board of Directors will convene its quarterly meeting continuing the oversight of the development of Southwestern Connecticut’s Regional Workforce. Connecticut Governor-Elect, Dannel P. Malloy will be the guest speaker.

The CTWorks Community Resource Fair will provide cost effective ways to help the unemployed stretch their money or find other resources. The event is free and open to the public.

The WorkPlace Inc., is sponsoring an eight-week classroom and hands-on Environmental Technician Training at no cost to residents of Norwalk, Ansonia, Derby, Shelton, and Seymour. We are having info sessions to recruit participants.
