Thiel College business administration and mortuary science major Joseph Barnett (Thiel College '18) was recognized by the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science for outstanding overall scholarship, aptitude and practical skills.

Thiel College students, along with student stations WXTC and TCTV, were well represented among this year's Intercollegiate Broadcasting System's Golden Mic Awards nominations. Winners will be announced at the annual IBS Conference on March 1.

During its annual Honors Convocation, Thiel College awarded an honorary degree to the Executive Director of the Butler Institute of American Art, Louis A. Zona, Ph.D.

Thiel College's Louis and Barbara Thiel Distinguished Service Award was presented to HopeCAT's Michael P. Walton and Tom Roberts for their work at the Hope Center for Arts and Technology.
