TLC Eyecare & Laser Centers is proud to announce 35 Years of service to the Jackson community. In 1978, Dr. Paul Ernest began his own practice which over the years has grown into the company it is today with 14 locations throughout Michigan and Ohio.

The surgeons at TLC Eyecare & Laser Centers will soon be able to provide patients with a new technology to customize cataract surgery. TLC Eyecare & Laser Centers is the first in Northwest Ohio to offer this technology to patients.

Sue DeMott, formerly Executive Vice President of TLC Eyecare & Laser Centers, has been promoted to CEO of both TLC Eyecare & Laser Centers and Blake Woods Medical Park in Jackson.

Carmelina Gordon, MD a Retina Specialist at TLC Eyecare is celebrating 10 years of excellence. The subspecialty of retina is unique in that patients with retina problems are in danger of losing their precious gift of sight, if left untreated.

Sara Ward, Western Michigan University student & Portage resident, has a new outlook since visiting TLC Eyecare & Laser Center’s Open House in Portage. Ward’s name was drawn at the event, and she was the lucky recipient of a Free Lasik procedure.

ROTC cadet, Kyle Kausch of Ann Arbor seeks vision correction surgery the week before traveling abroad to prepare for a career in aviation. Luis Gago, MD a physician and former navy officer at TC Eyecare was happy to help a fellow serviceman.

TLC Eyecare welcomes RaShawn Venerable, DO to the Adrian, MI & Bryan, OH practices. A Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Dr. Venerable will specialize in medical & surgical treatment of Glaucoma, Cataracts, Diabetic patients, and upper lid surgery.

Cataracts is a clouding of the natural human lens and is the most common cause of impaired vision, they are highly treatable. In the US alone, 2 million cataract operations are performed each year, and are very successful in restoring vision.

Kevin Lavery, MD and Neal Tolchin, MD will be celebrating 20 years of excellent patient care this week.
