Activist and long-time business owner Peggy A. Cohen-Thompson will end her eight-year term as president of the Vallejo-Solano County Black Chamber of Commerce, but her remarkable community involvement will continue.

Writers Resource Center will host a place where writers can come together for support, and to write, during National Novel Writing Month, November 1-30

The Writers Resource Center is offering 12 writing sessions covering the basics and much more.

This award is given to women who have done outstanding work in their community.

Want to join a group that will take you from writing that first draft to getting published? The Writers Resource Center is for you.

New writers are encouraged to attend these sessions. All classes are being taught by members of the Writers Resource Center who are seasoned, published authors.

Sessions will cover the fundamentals of writing - setting goals, outlining your manuscript, writing techniques, editing and critique. Beginning writers are encouraged to attend.

Series will teach students how to write short stories, novels, poems and memoirs. Tips on how to promote your work and get published will also be featured.

Nationally renowned author will be honored for her community service.
