Tennessee Kidney Foundation

Heather Powell has led TKF since 2016 and has 13 years of experience in affordable housing and medical housing. TKF serves vulnerable, low-income individuals with kidney failure for whom affordable housing close to transit is necessary to survival.

The annual Gift of Life Walk and 5K brings together hundreds of runners, walkers, kidney patients, transplant recipients, nephrologists, dialysis nurses and social workers, and members of the community who care about kidney-related issues.

New CEO Heather Powell says funds raised will help TKF assist hundreds more patients this year through assistance programs and education about prevention of kidney disease.
