The excellent brazing results achieved proved that this customer scenario was a very good fit for induction brazing.

Thanks to using digitally-controlled induction brazing rather than flame-based brazing, there was much less chance for defects due to overheating.

In the test application, various sized steel work pieces needed to have their carbide tips debrazed and then recovered, using target temperature of 1500ºF (815ºC).

In this demo, an old carbide tip had to be removed from a steel work piece. After that, a new carbide tip had to be rebrazed onto the same place.

The customer-requested demo showed that performance requirements in manufacturing could be easily met by using induction heating solutions, without affecting the quality of the heating process.

The goal of this demo was to evaluate how the brazing process can be optimized for manufacturing purposes using an induction heater.

Due to the lack of open flame, the process was completely safe, without requiring specific conditions.

UltraFlex tests showed that industrial chains made up of alloy steel could be successfully hardened and tempered using induction heaters.

The test results showed that, in addition to being quick, the induction heating process was also energy- and cost-efficient.
