Frivolous Objections by Prime Healthcare Services Overruled

Each year Camp Laurel provides a summer and winter camp in Bear Valley to children living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. The organization is always looking for medical volunteers and, this year, UNAC/UHCP members joined in this important effort.

Kathy Sackman, RN and president of UNAC/UHCP, reinforced the Southern California-based union’s advocacy of national health care reform today, lauding the successful passage of the Affordable Health Care for America bill.

Since 2000, UNAC/UHCP has donated $10,000 to charitable organizations selected by one of their union affiliates on a rotating basis. With the tremendous devastation and urgency of need in Haiti, UNAC/UHCP sent the increased contribution immediately.
