As the refrigerated health beverage category continues to grow and evolve, new cost-cutting and efficiency measures introduced by a growing number of manufacturers defy the reason why consumers are purchasing kombucha and water kefir.

Valens Kombucha and the Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, known as the Metzenbaum Center, have recently teamed up to meet the growing demand for a local health drink and create jobs for the developmentally disabled.

Although kombucha has been around for centuries, Valens Kombucha has finally arrived on grocery store shelves in Northeast Ohio.
