Wives Behind the Badge

As the wife of a police sergeant in Southern California, Rose Winick found herself in need of advice and support she could only get from other police wives.  She decided to form her own support system by starting an online forum in 2006.

Wives Behind the Badge, Inc. announces the appointment of new Treasurer and Board Members.

May 28 check presentation honored Trooper Balder and Trooper Shanks, provided support during the officers’ recovery.

In early 2013, Cara began her term on the Board of Directors as Member at Large. Cara joined our organization as a forums member in December, 2009.

In early 2013, Brandi began her term on the Board of Directors as Forum Director. Brandi joined our organization as a forums member in September, 2009.

Beginning in 2009, Amanda established her seat on the Board of Directors and began her legacy of assisting law enforcement families. Amanda Perkarek developed Wives Behind the Badge, Inc.’s H.A.L.O.S. (Helping Aid Lost Officers’ Survivors).

New Jersey Auxiliary Committee of Wives Behind the Badge, Inc. has partnered with Blue Forever, nonprofit out of Louisiana, to sell t-shirts to purchase Belt Trauma Kits with QuikClot to donate to New Jersey police agencies.
