More than 80 WellCare associates, family and friends volunteered in communities across Tampa Bay on Saturday, April 21. They joined Paint Your Heart Out, Tampa! and Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful to help refresh and restore the Tampa Bay area.

WellCare members in designated disaster areas have special rights such as assistance in filling prescriptions and replacing lost insurance information.

On Monday, March 12, Michael Minor, state president of WellCare of Kentucky, presented a check for $50,000 to the American Red Cross to help Kentucky communities affected by the devastating tornadoes that swept across the commonwealth on March 2.

The WellCare Community Foundation is donating $50,000 to the American Red Cross to help Kentucky communities affected by severe weather. Also, WellCare’s associates are organizing outreach events and volunteering their time to help tornado victims.

The launch of The CommUnity Commitment featured the presentation of WellCare’s first CommUnity Heroes Award to John Roberson Fleming, Jr., an active CommUnity Commitment partner and president of the Louisville Commitment Initiative.

WellCare Health Plans Inc. joined the Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County organization on Saturday, February 18 to paint, assemble cabinets, frame roof trusses and install windows on two new homes for deserving families.

‘Ohana Health Plan (‘Ohana), a health plan offered by WellCare Health Insurance of Arizona, Inc., announced that it has been selected by the Hawai‘i Department of Human Services to serve members of Hawai‘i’s QUEST program.
