Galveston Island is a seafood lover’s paradise all year round, but this September Yaga’s Entertainment Inc. will bring foodies a little taste of Heaven at the Galveston Island Shrimp Festival to be held September 27-29.

The return of the Galveston Island Wild Texas Shrimp Festival comes full of new additions including a second festival area featuring a boat show, boat parade, Bob Schneider concert along with all the great events from last year.

Mardi Gras! Galveston hosted the worlds Largest Umbrella Dance as part of the Uptown Funky Umbrella Brigade this year on opening night.

Around The World, officially begins April 14th. With specialty food items, culinary events, sophisticated parties, and live musical entertainment, it is sure to be the event of the year.

Wines From Around The World will return to Galveston Island April 14-17, 2011.

Winter Festival and Polar Bear Swim! This is an event for the bravest and craziest of people. Prizes will be awarded for the best arctic themed costume, heartiest cold-water enthusiast, and fastest open ocean swim.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this such a successful event. Chili, Craft Beer, and Tequila were flowing, the Margarita and Jalapeno eating entertainment was incredible, and to witness happy smiles, great music and good times was priceless.

15th annual Wild Game Championship and Barbeque Cook-off benefiting the Yaga’s Children’s Fund. The two-day, family-oriented event includes a “Run Wild 5K” at 8:30am Saturday morning, and continues with fun-filled cook-off festivities all day

Beer Festival To Feature 68 Specialty Craft Beers

The Yaga's Chili Quest & Beer Fest will crown the Galveston Island chili champion for 2011. Main events include a grand beer tasting and chili cook-off. Other activities include a 5K Run/Walk, a jalapeno-eating contest, and margarita contest.
