The wait is almost over as the new ski season approaches. The Austrian Tirol region has already seen some September snow and the glacier ski resorts on the Stubai and Pitztal opened at the weekend, with Kaunertal and Sölden opening in October.

When the Tirol Cycle Team embarked on their 8-day, 1300km journey from Innsbruck to London 2012, they had no idea how much money they would raise.

The Austria House Tirol became one of the first national hospitality houses to officially open for the London 2012 Olympics.

On Thursday 26th July, the Tirol Cycle Team finally arrived to a euphoric welcome in London, after covering an epic 1300km across Europe.

On Sunday 29th July the national hospitality house, Austria House Tirol at Trinity House , will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland and will be covered in SNOW, ready for the Après-ski party on Sunday afternoon.

Bergisel, Innsbruck. This morning, a team of 20 cyclists from the Austrian Tirol has begun their Charity Cycle Ride from Innsbruck to London for a British charity, Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK).

The official Austria House Tirol will be located at Trinity House in Tower Hill during the London 2012 Olympics with a host of Tirolean events and customs taking place daily.
