Sunrise Aviation has been chosen by Florida State College at Jacksonville as the exclusive flight training vendor for students at FSCJ. Flight students will receive training at Sunrise Aviation’s Cecil Airport satellite.

Hartwell (Neal) Moore, a student at Florida State College in Jacksonville, became the first student to receive a pilot certificate at the new Sunrise Aviation satellite in Jacksonville, Florida. Neal passed the FAA checkride for Flight Instructor.

Two students at Sunrise Aviation's Jacksonville satellite flight school successfully completed their first solo flights this week. The two students were Seth Van Buren and Mike Martin. Both students completed the flights in a Cessna 172.

Professor Justin Whitmer, an adjunct faculty member at Florida State College at Jacksonville, recently received his Airline Transport Pilot Certificate from the FAA. Sunrise Aviation provided the aircraft and training needed for that license.

On Oct. 13, 2011, Gov. Rick Scott visited Cecil Airport (Jacksonville), Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ), and Sunrise Aviation emphasizing job creation. Sunrise Aviation is the new FSCJ flight training vendor at Cecil Airport.

Sunrise Aviation announced recently that the FAA has approved use of the Redbird Advanced Aviation Training Devices (AATDs) in their FAA approved courses given at the Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ). FSCJ recently acquired four AATDs.

Sunrise Aviation announced today that they have hired Ralph Zahnle, Jr. as the Director of Operations for their new satellite base in Jacksonville, Florida. This base will provide pilot training for students at Florida State College at Jacksonville.
