Adelphi University’s Department of Music is pleased to announce that it will host New Music VI featuring members of the ensemble NOISE.

Adelphi University is proud to host “Animal Portraits: Images of the Wild,” an exhibition of wildlife photographs by National Geographic Wildlife Photographer and Adelphi alumnus Ted Schiffman M.A. ’68 in the University Swirbul Library Gallery.

The program will include original music compositions inspired by the event and a special preview screening of the HBO documentary “Triangle: Remembering the Fire.”

Adelphi University is pleased to announce that it will hold its first Nursing Intensive program for high school students this summer. The program will provide students with exposure to the supportive faculty of a college nursing program.

Adelphi University is pleased to host investigative journalist Kim Barker, who will present her lecture “The Taliban Shuffle: A Look at What the US Has Done in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and Why It’s Not Working.”

Adelphi University is pleased to announce that it will host the third annual African American Literary Read-In, entitled “Herstory/History: Voices from the Journey.”

The Jupiter String Quartet returns with The Evolution of Voice on Friday, February 11, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. in the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (AU PAC) Concert Hall, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY.

Alumnus Ronald B. Lee, a member of the class of 1967 at Adelphi, has been elected to the University's Board of Trustees.
