CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union gave one lucky member a 7-night cruise for two to the Bahamas up to $3,500. Out of 619 entries collected April 1 through September 30, 2012, only Mrs. Lucille Clark will set sail.

CommonWealth One supported the 19th Annual Walk to Fight Breast Cancer in Alexandria, Virginia, which raised more than $90,000 and was estimated to have 900 participants. Staff and members were participants of the race.

CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union offered free shredding services to its members and the public at its Main Branch in Alexandria, VA and Harrisonburg Regional Branch in Harrisonburg, VA. Members and the public were invited to go green!

CommonWealth One’s School Supplies Drive is going on now through August 31. They are asking members to donate school supplies to benefit local students of Alexandria and Harrisonburg public schools

CommonWealth One sponsored a community blood drive at its Harrisonburg Regional Branch with Virginia Blood Services. The event was successful with 13 units collected, including one rare blood type. All donations benefited local families.

John Blair retired on July 20 as President and Chief Executive Officer at CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union. Charlotte H. Cash was selected to the position after a nationwide executive search conducted by John M. Flood & Associates.
