Local business owner and philanthropist Earl Hodges will be speaking at the November 15th Southwest Florida MicroEnterprise program graduation. Hodges will deliver the commencement address to 15 aspiring entrepreneurs.

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida has seen a recent increase of 300% in the mission services it provides over the last five years. To accommodate that growth, the agency has purchased a larger building to house its headquarters.

Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto joined dozens of volunteers at the first Trailways Camp in LaBelle, Fla. The camp for adults with special needs is a partnership between Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida and the Robert V and Benjamin G Miller Fund.

Betty Armas, a graduate of the Southwest Florida MicroEnterprise Project, has received a grant to help support her fledgling small business. Armas was awarded $2,500 from Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc.

Goodwill has long been known for providing affordable options for creative shoppers to create one-of-a-kind Halloween Costumes without breaking the bank.

Aspiring entrepreneurs are now ready to launch their small businesses after graduating from the Southwest Florida MicroEnterprise Project on Friday, September 21.

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc. cut the ribbon on its new Estero Retail & Donation Center on Friday, Sept., 14. The new Estero retail store is located at 10351 Corkscrew Commons Drive.

Most donations to Goodwill come in the form of clothing, housewares, electronics, and vehicles. However, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida just received a more unique donation-- an elevator-style wheelchair lift.
