The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

A novel type of fabric that can absorb water and perspiration on one side and transport it to the other has been invented by a team of textile scientists based at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).

PolyU has been awarded an accumulative total of nearly €2.6 million by the European Commission's Erasmus Mundus (EM) Mobility Grant in two consecutive years to promote academic exchange through a large-scale scholarly language project.

Many industry leaders, internationally-renowned designers, staff, alumni and friends of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University gathered at Hotel ICON to celebrate its official opening.

Surveying experts of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University have successfully developed methodologies for precise mapping of the Moon, after intensive analysis of the data captured by Chinese lunar orbiter ChangE-1 and other lunar exploration missions.

With the launch of READ@PolyU programme, about 2,500 first-year-first-degree students of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) will each be given an English novel for free.
