The Kingsport Office of Small Business Development & Entrepreneurship (KOSBE) is proud to be the new Kingsport Affiliate Office of the Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) at East Tennessee State University (ETSU).

The winners of the 2010 Annual KOSBE Awards have been named by the Kingsport Area Chamber of Commerce Office of Small Business Development & Entrepreneurship (KOSBE).

KOSBE is pleased to announce the ten judges and guest speaker that have been selected for the 2010 Annual KOSBE Awards. The Annual KOSBE Awards is the longest running, most recognized small business-focused awards program in the Tri-Cities area.

In recognition of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Kingsport Chamber and KOSBE have teamed up to put on the Fall 2010 Small Business Night School, on Tues. and Wed., Nov. 16 & 17, 5—9 p.m., at the Kingsport Chamber in Downtown Kingsport, Tenn.

The Kingsport Area Chamber of Commerce Office of Small Business Development & Entrepreneurship today announced 23 contenders in the 15th Annual KOSBE Awards, competing for one of five awards. Judging underway; winners to be recognized December 10th.

Primarily, the KOSBE Small Business Night School provides free training, peer-to-peer networking, collaborative problem-analysis and problem-solving, and access to contracting opportunities and financing to small business owners and entrepreneurs.

At the invitation of the Kingsport Area Chamber of Commerce Office of Small Business Development & Entrepreneurship (KOSBE), representatives from 10 local small businesses gathered to share strategies for surviving the current economic downturn.

The Kingsport Office of Small Business Development & Entrepreneurship (KOSBE) is accepting applications and nominations for its Annual 2008 KOSBE Awards. This year there are five areas of competition.

After attending a seminar offered by nationally known retail specialist, Patti Lawrence, owner of The Gallery of Local Artists, convinced the City of Kingsport’s Public Art Program to help her make her retail store a destination.

The Kingsport Office of Small Business Development and Entrepreneurship (KOSBE) has substantially enhanced its web site to include a custom illustrated profile avatar named ‘Melissa’ and a Business to Business e-Directory.
