The National Fluid Power Association’s (NFPA) Fluid Power Challenge is featured in a new documentary recently produced by Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV).

More than 100 industry leaders from National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) member companies will be converging on Laguna Beach, CA February 24 – 27 for the 2010 NFPA Annual Conference.

Foundation Gift Supports Teaching of Electrohydraulics

47 teams, nearly 200 students from 26 middle schools, successfully competed in the Challenge in four locations—Marquette University and Milwaukee School of Engineering in WI; Harper College in IL; and the University of Minnesota in MN.

"It's fun." "It's a very cool experience. I want to learn more." "I love working with fluid power." That's what eighth-graders were saying on November 5 and 6 at the NFPA Fluid Power Challenge workshop day.

NFPA is building on the great success of the December 2008 Fluid Power Challenge by expanding to four locations in December 2009. Contributions are needed to help support the December 2009 Challenge.

An impressive attendance of 302 individuals received an expanded return on their investment. Attendee evaluations illustrated the importance of economics, market forecasts, research, education, and networking as being instrumental to their success.

Representatives from 19 NFPA member companies worked with NFPA and the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) to complete the Technology Roadmap for the Fluid Power Industry. Research objectives and technology advances are identified.

The NFPA Education and Technology Foundation gratefully acknowledges Sun Hydraulics Corporation for becoming the first NFPA member company to reach the “Legacy Builder” giving level.
