Oxnard Salsa Festival

The festival is a celebration of everything salsa – the food, music and dance.

The People's Choice award is given to the dancer who raised the most money for his or her selected charity. Cantrell, one of six contestants, raised $41,649 for Project Understanding.

Winners of the 2017 Oxnard Salsa Festival's Salsa Recipe Contest/Professional Division were announced July 20.

The festival celebrates the flavors of salsa – the food, music and dance.

Six community leaders will put on their dancing shoes for charity during the "2017 Dancing With Our Community Stars Dance Contest and Charity Fundraiser," Sunday, July 30 at 1 p.m. during the 24th Annual Oxnard Salsa Festival in Oxnard.

Summer will be sizzling with a hot entertainment lineup at the 24th Annual Oxnard Salsa Festival held in downtown Oxnard July 29 and 30.

The 24th Annual Oxnard Salsa Festival is currently taking applications from those interested in performing during the festival on its community stage.

Presented by the Oxnard Downtowners, the Oxnard Salsa Festival attracts festivalgoers from Santa Barbara to Orange County.
