The Crucible®

The Crucible’s art gallery in Oakland announces an open call for art for its first exhibition of the new year. “Metal vs. Wood/ Wood vs. Metal” will be a group exhibition “showdown” featuring new works of art of metal and/or wood.

The Crucible, now the largest public industry and arts facility on the west coast, offers courses not available in public schools, traditional summer camps and art studios.

At The Crucible, there are more than 400 classes including blacksmithing, jewelry-making, glass, neon, woodworking, and even flaming hula hoop; people from all walks of life learn skills to be innovative, playful, and exercise their imaginations.
