American Cable Association President and CEO Matthew M. Polka issued a statement in response to an FCC staff ruling regarding Raycom Media's control of three Honolulu TV stations pursuant to a Shared Services Agreement with MCG Capital

ACA blasts deal allowing Raycom Media to control three local stations in Tucson, including top-rated CBS and Fox stations, even though FCC rules generally ban formal cross ownership among the four highest-rated stations in a market.

The American Cable Association endorsed a key conclusion by the FCC that the agency's Antenna Structure Registration program does not cause nationally significant impacts on environmental resources, especially migratory birds.

ACA is pleased President Obama will nominate Jessica Rosenworcel and Ajit Pai to serve at the FCC. Both are talented individuals with a deep understanding of the digital economy and the vital role played by small and mid-sized cable operators.
