Cappello has been listed as a Super Lawyer every year since 2007. This is the sixth consecutive year that Noël has been named to the Super Lawyer list.

Owners of a newly purchased lakefront home on the west shore of Lake Tahoe are suing their real estate brokers and agents for fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, conspiracy, aiding and abetting, and negligent misrepresentation.

Cappello was selected from the over 190,000 attorneys actively practicing law in California.

Both attorneys were recognized for their legal skills in mass tort litigation and plaintiff class action representation.

The plaintiffs lost their livelihoods when the May 2015 oil spill shut down oil drilling offshore Santa Barbara.

The class action will determine if Plains will be prevented from using the old easements for its new easement across the properties. If Plains is prevented, it can get its new pipeline but it will have to pay for it.

Cappello was singled out as one of the school's five "Top Trial Lawyers." The magazine highlighted Cappello's career as a successful litigator and his financial contributions that resulted in the founding of the school's Trial Advocacy Program.

Owners of High Sierra Grill, a restaurant and bar at the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport from 2015 until 2019, filed a claim for damages against the City of Santa Barbara alleging the City constituted numerous contractual breaches.

Behrens was reassigned as a junior high school teacher. It came with a salary cut of over $50,000 per year. The school board approved the demotion during a 2018 school board meeting despite 300 community members coming out to support Behrens.
