Dr. Ana Bedran-Russo, Associate Professor, Restorative Dentistry, University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, recently was elected President of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Dental Materials Group (DMG).

Dr. Satish Alapati, Assistant Professor, Endodontics, recently assumed the duties of Endodontic Clinic Operations Director and Consultant to the Managing Partners at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.

Dr. Noor Obaisi, a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry’s Orthodontic specialty program, received the first place $1,000 prize in the Charley Schultz Resident Scholar research competition.

The research of University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry Restorative Dentistry Resident Dr. Amy Au has garnered her an International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Prosthodontics Group Student Research Fellowship.

University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry student Marc Manos recently was awarded a Research Fellowship from the American Association for Dental Research.

University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry Students Somayeh Jahedi and Nisha Mehta have been selected for prestigious Schweitzer Fellowships.

The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry Golf Outing, an event hosted by the College and the UIC Dental Alumni Association Board of Directors, will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, Lemont, IL.

Dr. Seema Ashrafi, Clinical Associate Professor, Periodontics, University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, recently was named a Chicago Dental Society Foundation Clinical Fellow.

Dr. Herve Sroussi has joined the U of IL at Chicago College of Dentistry’s Allen W. Anderson Faculty Dental Practice. Dr. Sroussi brings an expertise in mucosal lesions, soft tissue examinations, and biopsy procedures to the practice.
