DotCconnectAfrica (DCA) was invited to speak at the Tandaa symposium: Tools for taking your company online at the Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi Kenya, sponsored by the ICT board of Kenya and Google Kenya.

DCA was invited to the 2010 Leon Sullivan Summit in Atlanta Georgia and showed its respect in attendance to the legendary leadership of Ambassadors and Friends of Africa.

DotConnectAfrica handpicked as part of the African Business Champion delegation took part with Senior leadership of US Business and Policy makers in a week’s long activities and events in of the annual CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS in Washington DC.

DotConnectAfrica spoke on way-forward on the contribution of the ".africa" name to an ICT enabled environment, during the launch of the East Africa ".africa" campaign at the AITEC ICT summit held in Nairobi, Kenya.

Ms. Sophia Bekele, Executive Director of DotConnectAfrica, spoke of a way forward for the ".Africa" project during the opening panel discussions and subseqent launch of the East Africa "dotafrica" campaign.

Strengthening East Africa’s critical internet resources was the theme to which Uganda was host to the 3rd Easter African Internet Governance forum, 2010. As a proposed internet gTLD, the ".africa" domain was of high interest to participants.

DCA participated in the 2010 Kenya internet governance forum which was hosted under the theme "advancing the internet governance debate in kenya: strengthening East Africa’s critical internet resources" and calls for support of the "africa" gTLD.

DCA was invited as part of a VIP delegation of Political & Business Leaders to showcase the ".africa" brand at the African Leadership Retreat (ALR) held in SouthAfrica during the World Cup finals, 4-13 July 2010.

Brussels ICANN no. 38 | 20-25 June 2010 was a success for DotConnectAfrica as sponsor & presenting Africa's common position.
