The youths are the darlings of the society insofar as they adhere to the society's bidding. In return, the society compensates the youths for their submission. The society considers the youths as its premium investment.

In a meeting held two weeks ago in Windsor, I shared the goals of 'Elders Helping Hands' with members of Igbozue Connecticut USA. Members of Igbozue are my closest kinsmen abroad, and I needed their moral and financial support.

What surprised me is the commonality of problems between seniors in America and their counterparts in Akokwa.

Something is wrong in a society where elders struggle because family members are incapable of providing care.
