SGS showcased its Wind Energy Services that span the project life cycle of wind turbines at the Wind Power Expo 2009 Conference and Exhibition, which took place on September 22 – 24 at the Zaragoza Exhibition Center in Spain.

SGS will present its new Wind Energy Technology Center (WETC) in Tianjin at the Asia-Pacific Weeks Wind Energy Conference, which will take place on October 12 2009, in Berlin at the Town Hall.

SGS supported RWE with Owner’s Representative Services in establishing its first Wind Farm in Poland, consisting of 18 wind turbines.

SGS Wind Energy Competence Center presented its Wind Energy Services, including offshore wind farm project certification and condition monitoring at the European Offshore Wind 2009 Conference and Exhibition in Stockholm.

The 8th Vietnam Saigon Oil and Gas Expo 2009 will be held in Ho Chi Minh’s new Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) from October 29-31, 2009. SGS will be exhibiting at Stand no. B2-1, Hall A1.

The Hitachi-Cobra Consortium assigned SGS Portugal to manage and supervise all quality-related activities during the whole upgrade process of the Sines Thermal Power Plant in Portugal.

Sky Power Corp., Canada’s leading independent renewable energy company, awarded SGS Wind Energy Services the contract for Technical Due Diligence on the Fuhrländer 1.5 MW wind turbine technology.

SGS Colombia S.A. performed storage tank inspections in accordance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements in the Cartagena Refinery.

Recently, the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) re-awarded SGS Nigeria with ISO 9001:2000 Certification which demonstrates a SGS´ commitment to service quality and customer satisfaction.

SGS verified the quality of the steel wire ropes used for the construction of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, the first and longest cable-stayed sea link in India.
