Galveston Island hosted the first annual Wild Texas Shrimp Festival on September 25, 2010 in the historic downtown Strand district. The festival drew an estimated 10,000 in attendance.

This year, Ohana Surf Camp kicks off June 5 and runs through Aug.12, 2010. Camp sessions run Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday-Sunday. Hours are 9am-12pm each day. Costs range from $99-$225 depending on session choice.
