Adelphi University

On view from October 3, 2010 through May 30, 2012, the Biennial features the diverse works of ten sculptors.

As the 100-year anniversary of the Triangle Factory Fire of 1911 approaches, Adelphi University will commemorate the fire, which served as a catalyst for labor reform in the United States.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the Ruth S. Harley University Center’s Thomas Dixon Lovely Ballroom, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY.

He will deliver “A Biologist in the Waters of the Amazon: Fish, Monsters, Diseases and Conservation,” October 13, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the Ruth S. Harley University Center’s Thomas Dixon Lovely Ballroom, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY.

The program will allow nonprofit professionals to work on personal leadership development, as well as leadership in their organizations and communities.

Individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing, can take advantage of the opportunity to pursue a 60 credit B.S. in nursing in just 14 months of full-time study.

Adelphi University sophomore Emily Ladau has won the 2010 Jackson-Stricks Scholarship.

Adelphi University is pleased to welcome Rick Riordan, author of the New York Times best-selling Percy Jackson and the Olympians series for children.

The exhibition opens September 20, 2010 and runs through October 26, 2010 with a reception to be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The exhibit will run from Friday, September 10 to Wednesday, October 20, 2010, in the Ruth S. Harley University Center Gallery, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY. A free reception will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
