The Center for Metal Arts is announcing a call for entries for a new art competition to acknowledge works that incorporate foldforming as an art technique. Jewelers, metalsmiths and sculptors are invited to apply by the June 30, 2012 deadline.

He's been called the red-headed whiz kid, a high-energy problem solver, and is the inventor of the foldforming art process that has swept worldwide. He is coming back to New York August 3-6, 2012 for an annual intimate event, and you are invited.

The 2012 June Weekend Sessions at the Center for Metal Arts offer three favorite classes in an a la carte format. The early summer series expands on popular one-day workshops, exploring the nonferrous metals for metal artists, jewelers and sculptors.

Art furniture and installation artist Vivian Beer is holding a weekend seminar in advanced techniques and processes for metal artists February 11-12 at the Center for Metal Arts in downstate NY. This is the second in a winter series with Vivian Beer.
