A new program – The Person Within – recently launched on the Elant at Fishkill Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center campus to help those who offer care to Alzheimers & dementia to have a stronger understanding of th resident beneath the disease.

Matt Thornhill, a charismatic national Baby Boomer expert spoke to more than 200 people who attended Elant’s complimentary breakfast, sponsored by Birchez Associates, at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor on Nov. 10, 2010.

Elant at Wappingers Falls recently hosted a ceremony where two Marines presented residents Teresa and Bill Whiteley with an American flag dedicated to their son, who was killed in Vietnam more than four decades ago.

Maura Brennan and Joe DiPalo, both experienced health care professionals and Dutchess County residents, were recently named executive directors of Elant at Goshen and Elant at Brandywine respectively.

The Elant Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Whitney to the position of president and CEO of Elant, the Hudson Valley’s leading provider of senior care, home care, retirement services, and rehabilitation.

Elant, in partnership with SUNY Orange, has recently donated a busload of rehabilitation equipment and recreational supplies to the AFYA Foundation of America to benefit those devastated by earthquakes in Haiti.

State, county, and local leaders joined the Elant community Friday, Sept. 17, in celebrating Elant’s 25th anniversary of offering health and housing solutions throughout the Hudson Valley.

The Ninth Annual Elant Polo Picnic at the Blue Sky Polo Club in Middletown welcomed 230 guests and netted a total of $57,000 this year, a 26.6 percent increase over last year!

Anna Ferris, a patient at the Elant at Goshen Rehabilitation Center, is one of a rare few to have the privilege of living 110 years. In fact, she’s one of fewer than 80 in the world to reach 110 years old, earning her the title of Supercentenarian.
