United Way 2-1-1 just launched its new Regional website, www.myuw211.org, in collaboration with Group 7even.

On March 10, 2011, several United Way pieces created by Group 7even won awards at the Indiana Association of United Ways GEM (Golden Excellence in Media) Awards.

United Way 2-1-1 has launched a new Regional website, www.myuw211.org. In addition to call capabilities, Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall & St. Joseph County will now be able to access a new, larger database through chat & search.

Governor Mitch Daniels has proclaimed February 11, 2010 as an official Indiana 2-1-1 Day. He invites all citizens to duly note this occasion. Celebrate by spreading the word about 2-1-1!

Saturday, January 29th is Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Awareness Day. Celebrate by scheduling an appointment with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance).

United Way of St. Joseph County will be holding their Annual Board Meeting on February 17, 2011 at 8 a.m. at Crowe Horwath in South Bend.

United Way 2-1-1, a referral and information service for human, health, and social services, continues to distribute Family Wize prescription discount cards. The cards provide a great resource for those in need looking for prescription assistance.

Starting January 4th, individuals who meet the required qualifications can have their taxes prepared by an IRS-certified VITA/TCE Volunteer Preparer at one of the many VITA sites throughout St. Joseph, Marshall, Kosciusko and Elkhart Counties.

Locally and nationally, United Way and several generous corporate partners have created opportunities for consumers to give back to their communities through holiday gifts.

People Gotta Eat and Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry have arranged a reduced rate for processing of donated deer. For a $50 donation, people can secure a deer, or approximately 200 meals, for a People Gotta Eat food pantry.
