Hospice at Home

Chili's, located at 1275 Hilltop Road, Saint Joseph, MI will be hosting a Give Back Night for Hospice at Home from 11:00 a.m. to closing on July, 14, 2010. At Chili’s, Pepper in Some Fun and Pepper in Some Funds for your local charity.

If you know a child or teen who has experienced the death of a family member, friend or loved one, let them know about Camp Lifetimes. Available to anyone in the community, Lory’s Place offers this free day camp on July 14th from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Creative arts can help you express emotions that are very hard to put into words. This four week workshop will provide creative grief expression opportunities through the use of mixed media art.

This is an opportunity for adults of all ages who are coping with a loss/losses by death. This is a non-judgmental, supportive group where you will be encouraged to share, however all sharing is optional. No writing experience is necessary.

This summer, Lory’s Place and Hospice at Home are offering a variety of bereavement programs that are free to our community. Coming together with others who have experienced the loss of a loved one is often a comfort.

On June 26th at 5:30pm at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, the Killamazoo Derby Darlins will provide a percentage of ticket sales to benefit the Pet Peace of Mind program provided through Hospice at Home.

The entire community is invited to an educational forum on end-of-life issues on June 14 This community meeting will focus on answering questions, discussing available care options, and the importance of making plans with family and caregivers.

"The Richard Beckrow Memorial Scholarship has been created to celebrate the life and memory of this extraordinary man,” states Lisa Bartoszek, Director of Hospice at Home Bereavement and Lory's Place.

On Saturday, May 15, over 1300 people gathered in the Edgewater Area of St. Joseph to take part in the Sixth Annual Run, Walk, and Rock event to support Lory’s Place, the grief healing and education center of Hospice at Home.
