NewAge announces the hiring of Robert Volk and Stephen Kuhns. Volk is responsible for manufacturing process improvement and new product manufacturing. Kuhns is working to strengthen industrial sales and the company’s distribution network.

High purity tubing manufacturer AdvantaPure now offers single use molded manifold assemblies that are validated as sterile. Assemblies made from silicone or AdvantaFlex TPE are gamma irradiated for a sterility assurance level of 10-6.

NewAge manufactures flexible tubing and reinforced hose and now offers eight different ways to customize these products. Problems addressed by customized tubing include kinking, heat and abrasion protection, and inventory and labor cost reductions.

AdvantaPure recently launched its redesigned website featuring high purity tubing and single use system components for the pharmaceutical industry. The updated site offers improved navigation, a simplified appearance, and search capabilities.

Employee ownership works well for plastic tubing manufacturer NewAge Industries. The company adopted its ESOP in 2006 and has continued growing since then. NewAge currently has four employment opportunities, three of which are due to expansion.

Clearflo(R) PVC tubing, Newflex(R) reinforced PVC hose, and Silbrade(R) reinforced silicone hose have reached significant marks in their histories. Clearflo is 50 years old, and Newflex and Silbrade are 25. All are used for fluid and air transfer.

AdvantaPure will exhibit at several key pharmaceutical trade shows this fall. Events include the BioProcess International Conference and Exhibition, the ISPE Annual Meeting, and an exhibition first for the company, China Pharm.

High purity processing components are critical in pharmaceutical, biopharm, and other clean applications. AdvantaPure’s silicone and TPE tubing has been extensively tested for extractables to prove the products’ suitability for high purity uses.

NewAge recently gave five laptops to the Caramanico School in Ratanakiri, Cambodia, bringing the school’s total number to eleven. The company has strong ties to Cambodia, as nearly 30% of its staff is from Cambodia or is of Cambodian descent.

Fluoropolymer tubing has been in short supply. Other tubing materials – most notably polypropylene – offer an alternative. NewAge’s Prolite(R) polypropylene tubing shares several performance characteristics with fluoropolymer.
