Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG) received a $10,000 "Neighborhood Grant" from the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation.

More than 15 Ventura County farms, ranches and agricultural organizations invite the public to experience a day of free agricultural activities and tours.

The public will experience a day of agricultural activities, farm tours, giveaways and onsite farmer's markets, plus hear from the local farmers who grow the food they eat.

Including proceeds from the mixer, SEEAG has raised over $100,000 to help put on this year's Santa Barbara County Farm Day.

The Sunset Mixer is from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Zaca Mesa Winery 6905 Foxen Canyon Rd., Los Olivos).

Since Farm Day began 10 years ago, 48,000 people have toured farms and ag-related companies throughout Ventura County.

Gill's Onions' donation means SEEAG will receive as much as $25,000 to support its Farm Lab program.

The Santa Barbara County Commission for Women established the Commission for Women Service Awards to recognize and honor the achievements of women and the organizations they represent.

Sponsors are being sought for the 4th Annual Santa Barbara County Farm Day taking place Saturday, September 17.

SEEAG aims to help young students and the community understand the farm origins of their food and the importance of local agriculture.
