SME Education Foundation

The 8th Annual Automation Alley Awards Gala acknowledged the SME Education Foundation as a finalist for having the "Best Educational Program of the Year" in the advancement of K-16 manufacturing education and its Gateway Academy and STEPS camps.

Continued funding from the Emerson Charitable Trust bodes well for the expansion of the Gateway Academy, a nationwide summer engineering camp created by the SME Education Foundation for middle school students. The program is now in 25 states.

Ford Motor Company Fund grant supports programs in math, science and technology for the SME Education Foundation's Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies (PAS) Scholarship, and Gateway Academy, a nationwide initiative for middle-school students.

Gene Haas Foundation Machining Technology Scholarships Range from $1,000 to $5,000 and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
