Mitchell Krauss, Former CBS News Cairo Correspondent, will speak on The Persian Gulf at the Great Decisions program at the New Canaan Library on October 25, 2010.

Two China experts will discuss CHINA NOW & THEN at an After Hours event at the Stamford Yacht Club on Wednesday, October 20, sponsored by the World Affairs Forum. The public is invited to attend.

Congressman Jim Himes (D) and State Senator Dan Debicella (R) will debate foreign policy issues on Thursday, October 21, from 7 to 8:30 PM, in the Davenport Ballroom at the Holiday Inn Stamford Downtown under the auspices of the World Affairs Forum.

The World Affairs Forum and Greenwich Library are cosponsoring a showing of the Nuclear Threat Initiative’s short documentary, Nuclear Tipping Point, at the Library on October 14 at 7 P.M., followed by a panel discussion. Admission is free.

Conor Phoenix, Special Agent of the FBI, will speak on Globalized Cyber Crime at the Great Decisions program at the New Canaan Library on September 27, 2010.

Gillian Sorensen, Sr. Advisor, UN Foundation, is a national advocate for the UN & US/UN relationship. She will speak on 9/15/10 at UCONN/Stamford. Forum events at UCONN now begin at 5:45 PM (networking and refreshments) & presentation at 6:15 PM.

Ian Bremmer, President/Founder of the Eurasia Group, author of "The End of the Free Market: Who Wins the War Between States and Corporations?" will be speak at the World Affairs Forum Annual Meeting dinner at the Stamford Yacht Club June 10 at 7 pm.

The public is invited to attend a special lecture and book signing of "Too Big To Fail" by Andrew Ross Sorkin, New York Times chief M&A reporter and author, to be held at the Greenwich Library on Tuesday, May 25, 2010.
