World Affairs Forum

The public is invited to a breakfast presentation by Julia E. Sweig, Ph.D., Director, Latin America Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations at the Stamford Yacht Club on Wednesday January 13.

The World Affairs Forum’s unique fundraising event will take place on Thursday, December 3 from 6 to 8 P.M. on the 7th floor of the Trump Parc, 1 Broad Street in Stamford.

Willis Sparks, an analyst at Eurasia Group, will speak at the Great Decisions program at the New Canaan Library on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 7 p.m. on the subject "The R.S. and Rising Powers."

Steve Crawshaw,Human Rights Watch, and Robert Barnett, Columbia's East Asian Institute, will both speak at a World Affairs Forum event on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 on Burma & Tibet: Despair and Hope for Two Asian Buddhist Societies.

Jake Sherman, Associate Director, Peacekeeping and Security Sector Reform, Center on International Cooperation, New York University, will speak on Afghanistan and Pakistan at Great Decisions Program at New Canaan Library on October 26.

Dr. Nicholas Perna will discuss the current economic situation and forecast future trends when he speaks at the World Affairs Forum’s Global Economic Trends Lecture at the Pitney Bowes World Headquarters in Stamford.

Dr. Daniel J. Gustafson, the Director of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, will speak on the topic "Once Again: A Global Food Shortage."

Kevin Kajiwara, Director, Global Markets, Eurasia Group, will speak at a World Affairs Forum event on Wednesday, October 7 on Global Markets and Politics: Emerging Trends & Risks at UCONN/Stamford.
