SGS Intron provides a wide portfolio of complex consultancy services for the King Fahd Causeway, a 25-kilometer long marine, four-lane road connecting Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, to ensure the best quality and performance of the causeway.

SGS will be present at the China International Nuclear Power Equipment Exhibition 2011 (CINE) in Beijing, China on September 19-21, 2011. During the event, SGS will showcase a wide range of services for the nuclear sector at stand T17.

In September 2011, SGS provides two free seminars on Advanced Ultrasonic Testing techniques in Singapore and Malaysia.

SGS Industrial Services was awarded a contract to perform complex Commissioning Services and Management as well as execute various tests for the Barro Alto Nickel Project in Brazil by Anglo American Corporation.

In January 2010, SGS Industrial Services was awarded a contract to provide Project Management Services, Health, Safety and Environment Management and Quality Control inspections for one of the biggest road building projects in Senegal by AGEROUTE.

SGS was awarded a contract in June 2011 to provide comprehensive Supply Chain Services for various international offshore projects by Samsung Heavy Industries. Throughout the three-year contract, SGS is performing comprehensive inspections.

In May 2011, SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, was awarded a contract by Abigroup to provide comprehensive Pavement Engineering for the Reid Alexander Interchange in Perth, Australia.

The SGS Wind Energy Technology Center (WETC) in Tianjin, China was awarded a contract to conduct full-scale Wind Turbine Blade Testing for one of the world’s leading component suppliers in the wind turbine industry on June 30, 2011.

SGS announced Christoph Thiel as the new Global Business Development Manager, Renewable Energies on August 1, 2011. Christoph will focus on global sales and business development activities at SGS Renewable Energy Services.

SGS successfully provides testing and CE (Certificate of Conformity Europe) certification for stone exports to European countries at its laboratory for natural stone and homogeneous material in Xiamen, China.
