SGS sponsors the Development and Agency Finance Conference 2010, taking place from June 17-18, 2010 in Washington DC, USA.

SGS has been performing all types of earthquake tests for nuclear power plants and manufacturers of electrical communication and railway systems in Korea since April 1, 2010.

Leak Testing of a heat exchanger tube and tube-tube sheet was successfully performed by SGS from March 16-17, 2010 in a refinery in Ulsan, Korea. SGS used this Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) method for the very first time on a heat exchanger.

SGS presents a paper and exhibits at the 2nd Oil & Gas Maintenance Technology North America Conference from August 31 to September 2, 2010 in New Orleans, USA

Dr. Pavel Novak was appointed as the new manager of SGS´ Wind Energy Technology Center (WETC) in Tianjin, China. Effective from March 15, 2010, Pavel took over responsibility for the operation of WETC and staff training.

From June 9-11, 2010, SGS will be presenting its services at the international solar trade fair, Intersolar Europe 2010 in Munich, Germany, at stand no. 279, Hall B.

In July 2009, SGS was assigned a contract to conduct Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Management for the Belwind Bligh Bank Offshore Wind Farm in Belgium.

SGS received a contract to carry out certification services for UOP in Russia. SGS supported UOP in obtaining the full scope of Russian statutory certificates and compliance documentation.

From June 29-30, 2010, SGS attends the RenewableUK Offshore Wind 2010 Conference and Exhibition in Liverpool, United Kingdom. At stand no. 85, SGS will present its wide portfolio of services for the wind energy sector.

SGS will be participating in the I International Meeting on Risk Prevention in the Wind Energy Sector organized by AEE from May 11-12, 2010 in Barcelona, Spain.
