An Activate Simi Valley kick-off, health fair and first weigh-in will take place at the Simi Valley Family YMCA (3200 Cochran St., Simi Valley) on Thursday, January 16 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Simi Valley Family YMCA provides swim lessons and other aquatics programs year round. It is currently looking for young adults to staff its winter swim classes and lifeguards to ensure everyone is safe in and around the pool.

The Conejo Valley YMCA is holding a free community holiday gathering Friday, December 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Everyone is invited.

The Simi Valley Family YMCA is selling Christmas trees beginning December 5. Tree sale proceeds will help families in need participate in YMCA programs.

The Triunfo YMCA, serving Westlake Village, Oak Park and Agoura Hills, will host its annual holiday camp from December 23 through December 27 (closed December 25) and December 30 through January 3 (closed January 1).

The Simi Valley Family YMCA handed out its Volunteer of the Year awards at a November 16 dinner attended by over 125 people at the Simi Y.

The Simi Valley Family YMCA will hold winter swim lessons from January 6 through February 22. Signups begin December 2.

The Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park is hosting a three-night winter caravan to Mammoth Lakes for teens in grades 9 through 12. The group leaves January 2 and returns January 5, 2014.

The Simi Valley Family YMCA’s state licensed preschool is accepting enrollment for children ages 2 1/2 to 5. The preschool is on the Royal High School campus (1402 Royal Ave.) in Simi Valley.

The Simi Valley Family YMCA is now taking registrations for its winter day camp, December 23 through January 3.
