The Simi Valley Family YMCA is accepting registrations for before and after school childcare. Childcare is for children in kindergarten through sixth grade in the Simi Valley Unified School District.

Simi Valley parents and their children who are interested in participating in the Simi Valley Family YMCA Indian Guides program, can take part in a free September 7 overnight campout at the Simi Y (3200 Cochran St.).

The second session of the Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park's new summer learning program will take place August 5 through August 23. The program is for kids entering first through sixth grades in the fall.

The Conejo Valley YMCA will hold an information meeting/rally night for parents and youth interested in taking part in the Y's Camp Sequoia Lake summer resident camp. The information night will be Friday July 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Y.

Campers will be able to enjoy a week of basketball and swim time during the Simi Valley Family YMCA's sports and swim camp, August 5 through August 9, at the Simi Y facilities (3200 Cochran St., Simi Valley).

Parents with children six months of age and older can sign up their kids for swim lessons at YMCAs in Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Agoura Hills and Simi Valley. Two-week sessions begin June 17 with new sessions taking place throughout summer.

The Simi Valley Family YMCA offers five, two-week swim sessions during the summer beginning June 17. All classes take place in the Simi Y's heated indoor swimming pool. Junior lifeguard training classes begin June 24.

The Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park is hosting a free July 4 family festival, parade, car show and 5k/10k Run/Walk.

The Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park is offering a free, one-year membership to local eighth graders. Membership includes use of the fitness center, pool, multipurpose room, exercise classes and teen events.
