Ventura College Foundation

The Ventura College Art Department received a $50,000 endowment from Carnegie Art Cornerstones. The donation was coordinated by the Ventura College Foundation.

Ventura College is offering a new two-year Veterinary Technology Program.

Ventura College Foundation's Weekend Marketplace will temporarily move to a new location on the Ventura College campus while solar panels are installed at its current site.

More than 400 scholarships will be awarded to Ventura College students.

Veterans will be given up to $250 per semester for two semesters. To receive the textbook-buying stipend, recipients must donate at least one of their books purchased with the stipend to the Jerry Arellano Veteran Resource Center Library.

The Marketplace has been closed since March 14 when social distancing restrictions took effect because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Income from the Marketplace has paid the operating costs of the Ventura College Foundation for 35 years.

Scholarships were awarded in all academic fields including STEM, art, health and liberal arts.

Ventura College is following the March 19 COVID-19 "Shelter In Place" executive order from California Governor Gavin Newsom so classes and public activities are no longer being held on campus.

The Ventura College Foundation Marketplace, which operates every Saturday and Sunday on the Ventura College campus, will close for the next three weekends.
