Ventura College Foundation

The Ventura College Veterans Resource Center and Ventura College Foundation are honoring veterans, active military and their families at the fourth annual Ventura College Veterans Appreciation Luncheon, Monday, November 4.

The website enables students to engage with the foundation and explore scholarship opportunities, tuition relief and textbook lending opportunities.

The Ventura College Foundation Board of Directors has added two new board members. The new members are Catherine Bojorquez and Michael Schouten.

The Ventura College Foundation Board of Directors approved two new board members at its June 26 meeting. The new members are Stephen Kipp and Nuris Dante.

The Ventura College Foundation Marketplace, which operates every Saturday and Sunday on the Ventura College campus, is looking to expand the number of Saturday produce and pre-packaged food vendors.

Ventura College students received $326,529 in scholarship funds. Some earned multiple scholarships.

Scholarships were given to re-entry students based on their applications, essays, and recommendations from counselors, faculty and employers. Over $68,000 was handed out to students at the ceremony.

A total of $93,300 in scholarships were awarded to 42 students.

These events are a way to show our students how much the community appreciates their commitment to their education.

The tour highlights how the VC Foundation and college support students as they prepare for careers or continue with their education at a four-year university.
